Can’t help but beatbox to Emily’s breast pump: you know we both got mad flow!
I’m trying to look online and see if I can find a good used breast pump, but not sure which one is the easiest on the boobies. I used an avent manual isis last time, and it was easy on the boobs, but I’ve given it away and now i’m looking for something else.
i’m sure the electric ones would probably make breast feeding easier. Can you recomend one please
I am going to breastfeed but still want to buy a steriliser and breast pump. I ideally want the Tommee Tippee make but I can’t find them where I live in Greece. I have had an Avent microwave sterilser given to me but I don’t like it especially as the water here is very hard and leaves salt deposits. Which type is the best, steam or microave and what are the best makes in your opinion? Thanks for any advice.
My 3 1/2 month old has gotten very lazy about nursing in the last month or so, so i have been pumping the milk for him instead. I keep up the amount of times i pump with the number of times i feed him (after each feeding i express milk for the next time) but i seem to be producing less and less. This passed week i even pumped in between feedings and it hasn’t helped to increase my milk supply.
Is it possible that the baby actually nursing draws out more? because i keep pumping until i don’t see anymore coming out.

Sophie threw an ENORMOUS fit because I had to pull her away from the breast pump. If you’re reading my Tweet archive, THIS IS FORESHADOWING.
As I look toward Aug, when I will return to work after my maternity leave, I wonder how I will have the time and the privacy for pumping two times a day for 20 minutes each pumping session. My schedule is very tight until the later afternoon, when I have a 50 minute planning period following my 30 minute lunch break…I need a 30 minute break in the AM, but I’m worried that I’m asking for too much.
We live a very simple life (no travel, no movies, no eating out, no fancy cars, no fancy furniture, no fancy entertainment system, etc) and we STILL need my small salary, so staying at home isn’t possible, unfortunately…I would do almost anything to stay at home if we could make it work financially.
Is it too much to ask for the two 20-30 minute breaks (at the necessary times) to allow me to pump? This is the equiviant of asking for extra breaks….when everyone else has to keep working
I am going back to work tomorrow and my son is 2 days shy of 10 weeks old. I don’t feel like lugging my electric pump to my work just yet. So tomorrow I’m taking my Medela Manual pump. I’ve used it before and it works great, but as for my milk supply (just for tomorrow) will it be affected if I just use the manual pump for now? I am also coming home on my lunch break to actually breastfeed my baby, but the in between times I’m going to manually pump. Will I be ok just for tomorrow?
my daughter doesn’t seem satisfied after feeds and gets quite upset on the breast some times, so i’m expressing milk as well as feeding her in the hopes it will get my supply up. i’m currently using a manual breast pump and not really getting alot of milk out with it. would an electric pump help to get more milk through? or doesnt it really make a differance? no stupid answers please, and no, im not going to give her any formula, bofore someone suggests that.
I have been pumping 3 times a day for 45 minutes to an hour. I’m ready to stop but it seems if I pump for 30-45 minutes each of those three times I become on the verge of getting a plugged duct. Any suggestions?
